Lighten Up Group

The group meets on the first and third Tuesday of every month and would be delighted to welcome new members. The aim of this patient led group is to offer positive and active mutual support in a non judgemental environment to those who struggle with weight issues. This is NOT a slimming club and there are no fees. The themes of our next few meetings are:

Jan 1st 2008 - no meeting
Jan 15th an open forum
Feb 5th Nurse Practitioner Sue Russell will give us a talk on an aspect of diet

We would welcome suggestions as to future topics.

Comings and goings

We are very pleased to welcome Dr Charlotte Jenner to the practice. She has joined us as a registrar working part time Monday - Wednesday and will be with us until the end of 2008. This post is equivalent to a registrar post in a hospital for doctors who specialise in general practice.

We are also delighted to welcome Beryl McAllister as secretary and assistant to the Practice Manager (Lorna Campbell). Beryl joins us from another Kingston Surgery, we are lucky to be able to benefit from this previous experience.

Beryl joins us as Carole Bailey, secretary/Deputy Practice Manager, retires after more than 20 years. We are very sorry to see Carole go but are delighted that she will continue to help us out with reception and other duties from time to time. We wish Carole a very happy retirement.
